Description: An excellent example of a carved 'later' fruit bowl with a small but fine detailed internal mouse. This fruit bowl has a superb deep golden colour,one of the best I have experienced, which is indicative of its maturity. Waxed finish, with very few marks if ever previously used as a fruitbowl. Dimensions are diameter 29.5cm, height 6 cm. Note: The mouse signature was moved on these large bowls to the centre of the bowl in the late 1950’s, and the later bowls made slightly wider and much shallower.
