Description: A beautiful example of a very early hand carved and adzed fruit bowl. The very rich patina and dark colour is indicative of its maturity, and the bowl has a very well carved mouse with high back and thin neck which dates it as pre1940's. Some evidence of small fruit based stains in the bowl through normal use. An excellent and rarely found example of early mouseman thompson work.  Dimensions are diameter 24cm, height 7cm.

The rich colour and grain pattern of solid english oak with hand carved light adzing.	A beautifully hand carved adzed exterior, any movement reflects light in a beautiful way.
A rich dark colour which goes right through the bowl.	This trademark very early style mouse has well defined features such as thin neck and high back, which uniquely identifies the master carver who carved the bowl.
