Description: A Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson Oak Box of oblong form, the detachable lid with carved mouse trademark signature in high relief, adzed inside and out, in line with earlier craftsmanship. Originally used for cigar's and cigarettes, but now better known as a trinket box. The box has taken a rich dark fumed colour with excellent patina. The box is adzed on the lid , and has a distinctive carved mouse. Exterior condition is excellent with a waxed finish. Dimensions are slightly smaller than modern trinket boxes, in line with earlier craftsmanship, at 8 cm high (excluding mouse) x 17.7 cm long x 10 cm wide.

Naturally seasoned english oak provides the rich grain pattern with distinctive adzing.
Hand carved mouse is the identity of the master carver.
