The very rich golden colour is indicative of its maturity, and the bowl has a very well carved mouse. Excellent pristine condition with waxed finish. Some small staining in the bowl commensurate with use over the years. Dimensions are diameter 15cm, height 4.8cm.

Early Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson Deep Bowl (9in) - 1930/1940's

A beautiful example of a very early hand carved and adzed fruit bowl. The very rich patina and dark colour is indicative of its maturity, and the bowl has a very well carved mouse with high back and thin neck which dates it as pre1940's. Some evidence of small fruit based stains in the bowl through normal use. An excellent and rarely found example of early mouseman thompson work. Dimensions are diameter 24cm, height 7cm.

A set of later Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson bookends (1970's)

A later example of the very beautiful carved solid oak bookends, with rich golden colour, 'plump' and longtailed trademark mice, and subtle adzing.
